RE: TRAFFIC CALMING PLANNING FOR KCA NEIGHBORHOOD
To All Neighborhood Residents,
Many of you may have heard about initiatives taking place in our neighborhood with the objective of developing a comprehensive plan for slowing down vehicular traffic which traverses our neighborhood streets.
Our community association has been requested by the city government to come up with a plan which incorporates safety-approved devices for slowing traffic in our neighborhood. Because you know the block that you live on better than any city planner, you are being asked to submit ideas to a coordinator from our own community who has agreed to assemble and present ideas for your block.
Please contact your block traffic coordinator:
St. John's = Jean Huber
Orton = John & Cyndy Allen
Penn. (Circle to Orton) = Reggie Sidell
Penn. (Orton to Plymouth) = D. Greenway
Penn. (Plymouth to West) = Sue Byron
Plymouth (Hudson to Penn.) = Chris Brown
Plymouth (Penn to Porter) = Bill Lindner
Jersey (West to Porter) = Carlos Benitez
Hudson (Wads. to Orton) = Mary Anne Cassidy
Hudson (Orton to West) = C. Brown
Porter & Symphony Circle = Shane Stephenson
If you are interested in participating in this project or if you have ideas one way or another about how traffic flows on your block. If you care about how vehicular traffic has access to the block that you live on, now is the time to let your voice be heard. Our community association has no power one way or the other to effect change or not to effect change. Our only power is to communicate your ideas to city government. However, if we say nothing and communicate nothing to the city, we will be allowing them to make decisions that you may not like.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to consider traffic changes on your block. Because we need to present this information to Heart of the City Neighborhoods on 1/13/2000, we are trying to collect information for presentation at our next Kleinhans Community Association meeting, Wednesday January 12, 2000 7PM at the First Presbyterian Church on Symphony Circle.
In the meantime, if you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
KLEINHANS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
